A modern interface, stronger foundations—and this is just the beginning.

Starting 25 June, the new ShiftMatch web interface will be progressively rolled out to all users. We’ve rebuilt it from the ground up with a fresh look and upgraded platform architecture. All the core features you rely on are still here—but the new foundation enables faster development, deeper mobile integration, and powerful enhancements ahead.

Note: These changes apply to the ShiftMatch browser version. The mobile app remains unchanged for now, but future updates will bring both platforms into alignment.

Easily browse, accept, and manage shifts from any view

Forward Planning Indicator

A visual cue shows when shifts will start appearing
Based on your organisation’s forward planning settings
Helps set clear expectations about upcoming work

Streamlined, More Intuitive Interface

Smarter navigation and cleaner layout
Simplifies the experience for everyone, especially new users

Redesigned User Profile

Now found under your profile icon (top right)
Key settings like password changes & locations are easier to find
Built to support upcoming personalisation features

Improved Access to News & Announcements

A new icon beside Help gives direct access
This area will evolve into a central hub for updates and two-way communication

Performance and Security Enhancements

Faster load times and smoother interactions
Data protection aligned with modern security standards
Improved reliability during high-demand periods

What’s Being Retired

To simplify and modernise the platform, we’ve removed a few outdated features:

Revert to V1: The old interface is no longer supported
Post-it Notes: Retired due to low usage and to reduce clutter
